Ana Martins is a highly skilled lawyer practicing in the Corporate area, focused specially on company restructure processes, mergers, sale and purchase of shareholdings, dissolution and liquidation, foreign investment as well as with property law issues, with emphasis on land related matters.

Ana has wide experience with the regulatory frameworks in several areas of Law and assisted the projection and the development of relevant projects in Mozambique, ensuring their legal compliance.

In her areas of practice throughout her career, Ana has been directly involved in various projects and transactions of national and international clients operating in different industries, with emphasis in mining, oil and gas, construction, banking and finance, insurance, technology and data protection, gambling, food industry and agriculture fields.

Besides her experience in the corporate and commercial practice, she has been engaged with exchange control issues and pre-approvals of operations with the Central Bank and with cross border transactions of complex nature, including their structure, negotiation and compliance.

Further, Ana conducts work in the area of data protection and technology, assisting clients on drafting data protection policies and contractual clauses and agreements applicable to the electronic transactions and processing of data, notably on online platforms and websites.

Ana has also had direct contact with legislation applicable to financial companies and credit institutions, with regulatory information and advice to entities in the said sector and due diligences to the same, as well as assisted clients acting in the insurance sector with the development of compliance programs, being familiar with the insurance regulatory framework.

Ana´s engagement and extensive understanding in multiple legal areas make her a valuable asset of the legal team at CGA - Couto, Graça e Associados, contributing to the provision of quality and reliable legal services to clients in Mozambique.
